HRD Vodka Review

I got married on October 31st, 2008. Jeremy, my friend of many years brought me several bottles of local vodka for a wedding present. HRD Vodka is one.

The Shot

HRD Vodka doesn’t have a distinct flavor at first. It slowly gets bitter, however, eventually pulling some of the moisture out of my mouth. It never gets unbearably bitter, though. After swallowing, there is a slight burn and a very bitter aftertaste that draws my lips to the chaser.

The Mixed Drink

I mixed HRD Vodka with passion fruit juice at about a 50% mixture. The taste is nothing to brag about. It’s pretty bitter and not great to drink. The aftertaste is more bitter than the shot, perhaps due to the contrasting flavor of the sweet mixer.

Opinions

HRD Vodka is good for a bottom shelf vodka. I wouldn’t suggest it to anyone, though.
