Review

With a review of Trump's premium vodka entry under our belts, we've moved on to their other 80 proof vodka offerings. With grape, citron, orange, and raspberry flavors, Trump vodka is easily making connections with all types of cocktails. We gave the citron flavor a shot.

The Shot

The citron vodka decent. The odd flavors of the vodka shine through, but the lemon punches through enough to take my mind off of it. The aftertaste is slightly bitter, but no chaser is needed because the lemon hints stick around enough to distract me. I'm not a huge lemon fan, but this stands out in such a way that I can enjoy it.

The Mixed Drink

As with most flavored vodkas, picking the right mixer is key. As with Trump Grape, it was Welch's White Grape Juice that complemented this best for me (and all the other Trump flavors, too). The flavors mixed well. The grape juice yielded enough to the lemon in the almost carbonated tasting cocktail to allow a citrus slight spritz to flash through.

If you're in the market for citrus vodka, I'd highly suggest checking out the Trump Flavored Cocktail Menu to see if any of your favorite drinks have done well with Trump Citron. You will probably find something more congruent with your personal tastes than what I tried.

Opinions

I sent all the flavors of Trump with my wife to a "girls night out" party. Tiffany said Trump Citron mixed really well with Sprite. The lemon-lime flavors would complement the citrus flavors of the vodka nicely.

Trump Citron is a nice entry into the citrus flavored vodka market. I'm personally not a huge fan of citrus vodka, but Trump's flavored vodkas tend to stand out in a particularly positive way. This is a citrus vodka that I can enjoy.
