New Smirnoff Flavors

According to PR News Wire, Smirnoff has two new flavors in their already extensive flavored vodka line up. The new flavors are melon and pomegranate. With passion fruit, white grape, blueberry, lime, watermelon, strawberry, cranberry, vanilla, raspberry, citrus, orange, green apple and black cherry, it shouldn’t be hard to find a flavor that goes well in your favorite juice or soda, or make some new and interesting martinis.

If you have the time and money, mix up something nice and tell us about it. Smirnoff’s suggestions are:

Smirnoff Melon-Ade

  • 1.5 oz Melon Flavored Vodka
  • 4 oz lemonade
  • Pour into a tall glass filled with lemon wedges and ice

Smirnoff Pomegranate Lemonade

  • 1.5 oz Pomegranate Flavored Vodka
  • 4 oz lemonade
  • Pour into a tall glass over ice
  • Garnish with a lemon wedge

I wonder what a few shots in a glass of Welch’s White Grape Pomegranate would taste like…

Interesting, I’ve never had Stoli’s flavored vodkas but I’m generally not a fan of flavored vodkas (store bought anyway). By far the best flavored vodka I’ve ever had was Charbay, they’re the exception to my general rule. I’ve had the Meyer Lemon and the Ruby Red Grapefruit flavors, both of which were amazingly good.

I don’t generally go for flavored vodkas either. If I can ever find the ones you mentioned, I’ll give them a try. I don’t recall seeing them locally.

They’re quite hard to find, my mom had actually found out about them, she had to have the New Hampshire state liquor store order them so we could try it. I had to pick it up on my way back home for winter break (home is Maine, that gives you a decent idea of the availability)

Then the chance of finding them near Alabama is about 0% ;). I’ll have a look for them when I’m in Portland, OR next month.
