Integré Vodka Official Review

I’ve seen Integré (called Integre from here on) in the store, but I always passed it off as a Pinnacle clone. My friend Moody brought a bottle over the other day. He doesn’t drink, but said his friend had suggested it. So, I gave it a try.

The Shot

Integre walks a tough line as a straight vodka. The first time I tried it, I liked it a lot. The second and third, I’m not really pleased with it. Like Pinnacle, the taste is bitter and only gets bitter. Unfortunately and unlike Pinnacle, there is a bit of a burn on the way down. To boot, the aftertaste isn’t very pleasant, either.

The Mixed Drink

I mixed Integre with orange juice and Diet Sierra Mist, a different take on a screwdriver that I enjoy. Integre mixes well, though I was mixing at about 1 ounce of vodka to 3 ounces of mixer. There is a slight hint of vodka in the cocktail, but it still drinks well. Integre is a pretty good vodka to mix with for the price.

Opinions

Moody liked it well enough, and other folks that tried it with us the first time enjoyed it. Upon second tasting, I wasn’t impressed, but it works well in a sweet cocktail. I wouldn’t get this vodka normally, but it’s not a bad choice if you plan on mixing.
