Oma’s Cherry Infused Vodka Official Review

There’s nothing I can say about the history of Oma and her incredible cherry-infused vodka that the Oma’s Spirits website and bottle don’t explain. In short, it is the story of Hedy Steinbart, a woman who lived through extraordinary times and created her own legacy. I haven’t found another vodka with a history as cared for as Oma’s. This honest authenticity is why I’m excited to try Oma’s Cherry Infused Vodka.

Straight

Before you open the bottle, you’ll see the opaque red that is a clear sign of the tasty things to come. It says it right on the label: Oma’s Cherry Infused Vodka. This is a serious example of infused vodka. The cherry is the single focus of the vodka and it is delicious.

That cherry is opinionated, too, but don’t write it off. The flavors are deep in there and they are great. Sip on it a bit, and you’ll really get the payoff. If it’s too much straight, try dropping a few ice cubes in it and try again after it melts down a bit.

Oma’s is excellent straight, but it shines in a cocktail.

Mixed

The easiest choice of a mixed drink is to drop a couple shots into a glass of ice with a can of Diet Coke (or regular Coke if you prefer). This is my new favorite cocktail. I’ve always wanted a vodka to mix with Diet Coke and this is spot on. It doesn’t taste alcoholic and is very easy to drink. It’s even easier to make.

I was inspired by my success with Oma’s Cherry Infused Vodka with Diet Coke and decided to try in my other favorite soda, Diet Mountain Dew, to make a Code Red Diet Mountain Dew that tastes just like I remember. This was another easy win and was equally as good as the Diet Cherry Coke.

I decided to swap to fruit juices. First, a screwdriver and it is absolutely delicious. This is a great summertime sipper. I’m in love. I also added some Pom pomegranate juice and it’s great too. The Pom dials up the tartness of the cherry.

On a whim, I dropped Oma’s into sweet tea. I wasn’t expecting much, but it is, again, amazing. It’s just a nice little kick of cherry in the tea. Wow!

Final Opinions

I haven’t had this much fun with a vodka in a long time. Playing around with mixing Oma’s Cherry Infused Vodka was a blast because it was so easy to find good ideas. It only helps that Oma’s is also great straight. This will be your favorite vodka this summer. Find out for yourself.
