My mom’s friend Joe happened upon Regalia. Joe typically drinks Jack, but picked up the vodka because he liked the bottle so much. He was kind enough to allow me to sample some of the Russian brew.

The Shot

Regalia has a nice Russian bite. There’s no burn and no need for a chaser. The vodka is fairly flavorless in the mouth past the bite, but there are good bitters, indicative of it’s source, if you look hard enough. Did I mention the vodka was room temperature? This is exceptional vodka.

Opinions

I didn’t want to bogart all of Joe’s vodka, so I cut myself off after the small glass I had. Joe was very happy with the vodka because Regalia had the bite he liked in Jack. He said he’d probably end up drinking the vodka, even though he only bought the vodka for the bottle.

I can’t imagine Regalia being a bad mixing vodka, but I also can’t imagine wanting to mix a vodka that is so great to sip. If you like your vodka straight, you’d be remiss to skip on Regalia.
